NY Rangers Fulfill a Wish During Garden of Dreams Week

Marc Rovner, a senior staff attorney for BETA Abstract from East Rockaway, New York, supervises the legal department for the company in addition to functioning as the managing director of business development for offices in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. Aside from his responsibilities as an attorney, Marc Rovner enjoys following the New York Rangers and has supported the Garden of Dreams Foundation.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works with the Madison Square Garden Company to make a difference in the lives of children. The foundation partners with 28 charitable organizations throughout the tristate area as well as groups associated with the Madison Square Garden Company such as the Knicks, Rangers, Liberty, and Rockettes to accomplish its mission. Since its inception in 2006, the Garden of Dreams Foundation has impacted over 325,000 children and their families.

Each year, during the Garden of Dreams Week, select partner organizations and their work on behalf of children is highlighted. Several lucky kids have the chance to become honorary members of their favorite teams and enjoy privileges such as watching the Rangers warm up from the penalty box or riding the Zamboni machine.

In 2016, during Garden of Dreams Week, a wish was granted to Bryce Rogerson, an 11-year-old boy who endured years of treatments and surgeries leading up to his heart transplant in 2014. At the Rangers game against the Carolina Hurricanes, Bryce had the privilege of being an honorary coach for the day. Not only did he meet his favorite Rangers players, Bryce also had an opportunity to celebrate the obstacles he had overcome.
