The New York Rangers is the National Hockey League (NHL) team of New York City. The team’s loyal fans and alumni come together not just during games, but also for community charitable events such as the RangersTown 5K Run.

The RangersTown 5K Run is a race presented by Northwell Health, a nonprofit health care network that provides home care, emergency medical, and rehabilitation services. The RangersTown 5K Run has been held each November at Corona Park in Flushing Meadows, Queens, since 2016.
Every entrant receives a packet that includes a Rangers drawstring bag, a RangersTown 5K t-shirt, a timing chip, and a medal. Physical therapists and other medical personnel from Northwell Health are on site to offer free flu shots and assist with pre- and post-race exercise. The proceeds go to select beneficiaries, including the Northwell Health Wellness Programs and the Garden of Dreams Foundation.
